Death Note is a great one for introducing people to anime. Great hook, entertaining and clever. Kinda highlights what anime are good at that normal live action tv shows aren't.

My personal favourite is probably My Neighbour Totoro. Felt like going to a different world, watching that.

Currently my fav anime is Dragon Ball Z. The super plot has peaked after universal survival saga. Granolah, Gas, Moro, Elec, new villains. Pure carnage. And Black Frieza.

The character development of piccolo and vegeta. And more, it's just a nostalgia.
