in my opinion "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" (When They Cry) is top-notch horror! It's a spine-chilling mix of mystery and psychological terror that'll keep you on edge throughout. Enjoy the frights!

There are quite a few, such as Theater of Darkness: Yamishibai, Tokyo Ghoul, Devilman Crybaby, Paranoia Agent, and I highly recommend Tokyo Ghoul.
