On Friday, December 20, 2024, the U.S. DOJ charged Rostislav Panev, 
a dual Russian-Israeli national, 
as a LockBit ransomware developer. Arrested in Israel, he awaits extradition to the U.S.

The United States Department of Justice has charged Rostislav Panev, a Russian and Israeli citizen, with involvement in the LockBit ransomware group. He is accused of being a developer and coder for LockBit since around January 2022.
